Malé, Maldives – A Bangladeshi worker is being prosecuted for stabbing and killing another Bangladeshi on “Jihaadhu” boat in Dh. Meedhoo.
While the incident took place on March 7, 2021, the person succumbed to death while getting treated at Th. Veymandoo Hospital. The Police stated that the attack took place at midnight, and the victim died the following morning.
The perpetrator was a 42 year-old Bangladeshi named Mohamed Masood, who was prosecuted on allegations of purposefully killing a person.
Prosecutor General (PG) stated that the case was sent to their office on the 5th of this month.
Recently a Bangladeshi was attacked and killed in Th. Guraidhoo as well. There in an increase in migrant worker crime being prosecuted at Criminal Court.
