Addu City, Maldives – MP Ibrahim Shareef of Maradhoo constituency says that the residents of Maradhoo and Maradhoo Feydhoo are facing many difficulties after Maradhoo Health Center was turned into a flu clinic.

MP Shareef highlighted that the only health facility in the joint two islands was the health center, which has now turned into a flu clinic that cannot treat regular patients.

Maradhoo and Maradhoo Feydhoo do not even have any private clinics, he said. MP Shareef added that it would greatly benefit the citizens if a flu clinic is opened elsewhere.

Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) had stated that from 26th May onwards, Maradhoo Health Centre will act as a flu clinic giving out services for patients having symptoms of Covid-19. The flu clinic is open from 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturday to Thursday and 14:00 to 22:00 on Fridays.

Treatment for other diseases is given at Feydhoo Health Centre. Patients are to make an initial appointment online before visiting the doctor. Feydhoo Health Centre will be open from 8:00 to 22:00 every day.

Feydhoo has two major private clinics; Medicity and AIMS Diagnostic Center while Maradhoo has no other medical treatment facilities available. This is a growing concern of all Maradhoo and MaradhooFeydhoo citizens.

AIMS is open from 08:00 to 22:00 on all days except Friday. Medicity gives services from 08:00 to 16:00 every day.
