Malé, Maldives – Maldives Inland Revenue Authorities (MIRA) alerts all taxpayers of the upcoming tax deadlines due to restrictions in Greater Malé area to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Maldives Revenue Inland Authority (MIRA) stated that they had postponed the due date for paying taxes and other fees to the 10 June 2011, due to the curfew and restrictions in most parts of Maldives. MIRA noted that taxes and fees can be also paid through their online portal ‘VaaruPay’.
MIRA reports that counter services will remain closed until 8 June 2021 and urges everyone to use online services during this period.
All government offices in the Greater Malé Region (Malé, Hulhumalé, Villingili, Thilafushi and Gulhifalhu) are to remain closed until 8 June 2021 as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Maldives recorded the 157 Covid-19 death today at 05:35. This comes while the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in the country has reached 60,844, with 901 new cases recorded yesterday. 36,862 Covid-19 patients have made full recoveries, as of 18:00 of May 28, 2021.
