Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that two additional people have passed away due to Covid-19.
HPA has reported that a 77 year old male who was admitted at Hulhumalé Medical Facility had passed away at 09:50 this morning.
The second person to pass away this morning was a 94 year old Maldivian male who was also admitted at the same facility in Hulhumalé brining the total number of casualties to 191.
This comes while the island nation has reported considerably fewer cases in the past couple of day, with only 370 cases yesterday.
To date, a total of 68,872 cases were recorded in Maldives while 51,213 people made full recoveries.
HPA also stated that currently, there are 17,461 active cases in the country, with 152 hospitalized for treatment.
