Addu City, Maldives – The Coast Gaurd of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) aided a fishermen in S. Gan buoy area who was injured with a fishing hook.
According to MNDF the local fisherman was fishing aboard “Rasainu” boat near S. Gan buoy area which is in Addu City. MNDF informs that his eye was pierced with a fishing hook.
The Coast Gaurd Squadron of MNDF Southern Area actively arrived on site as soon as reports of the incident were received this morning at 06:12. MNDF has not yet revealed further details regarding the incident.
Update: The injured man was transferred by sea ambulance to S. Feydhoo at 07:52 this morning.
