Dutch beaten after De ligt red

Netherlands bow out of the UEFA Euro 2020 after being beaten by Czech Republic tonight.

Tides changed completely for the Dutch after De ligt was shown a direct red card 10 minutes on to the second half. They lost the game 2-0, both goals scored after the red card.

First half completely dominated by the Dutch but chances wasted denied them on taking control. Tomas Holes took the lead for the Czech, scoring a header in the 68th minute of the game. Patrik Schick was the second goal scorer. He fired Czech Republic into the quarter finals on the 80th minute of the game.

Czech Republic will face Denmark in the quarter finals. Italy has already booked a place in the quarters. Portugal will face Belgium later tonight for the fourth position of the quarter finals. Match will be played at 00:00 hours, local time.
