Government allows fully vaccinated resort workers to travel without quarantine!

Male’, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Wednesday approved for fully vaccinated resort employees to travel to islands without having to quarantine.

Tourism Minister Abdullah Mausoom tweeted expressing his happiness over the decision made by President Solih to allow for fully vaccinated resort employees to travel to islands without the mandatory quarantine.

Tourism Minister Abdullah Mausoom stated that the employees must have a negative PCR test taken atleast 14 days after completing both doses of the vaccine in order to travel to islands without a mandatory quarantine. This is however not applicable for resorts and islands under monitoring.

The President’s Office has decided to ease additional measure placed in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic. Spokesperson of the President’s Office Mabrook Azeez and the HEOC Spokesperson Dr. Nazla Rafeeg will be appearing on a press conference at 14:30 pm to announce the easements in the Covid-19 restrictions.
