Addu City, Maldives – Addu Emergency Operation Center (AEOC) on Friday announced that congregational prayers can commence in S. Hithadhoo starting from today.
Speaking at the the press conference held last night by AEOC, Deputy Mayor Mohamed Shuaau informed that congregational prayers can be held in S. Hithadhoo mosques starting today, with the guidelines provided by the Health Protection Agency.
Congregational prayers were temporarily stopped in Hithadhoo on May 15, due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in the populous city with record number of daily cases.
However, as the number of confirmed cases are decreasing, AEOC has also allowed in-dine cafe and restaurant services in Addu City from 08:00 till 18:00.
Curfew placed in Hithadhoo remains the same from 21:00 till 4:00, until further notice.
