Addu City, Maldives – Mayor of Addu City, Ali Nizar has criticized G K Developments Pvt Ltd, which is responsible for the development of major roads of Addu City for the delay in the project.

Speaking on a TV program last night, Mayor Nizar told that G K Developments Pvt Ltd was not a company which was capable of handing such a project and that it has come to a point where the council has to run after the company to get project updates.

He also added that he has to call various people of the company on a daily basis to sort of different issues. Mayor Nizar also told that the project was not going according to the planned schedule and that the council was not happy with the progress of the project.

If the works went on as planned, four or five roads of Hithadhoo would have been completed now. And resurfacing works of Maradhoo and Feydhoo Rahdhebai Magu (main road) would have been completed.
