Abu Dhabi adds Maldives to quarantine free green list

Malé, Maldives — Capital of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abu Dabi has added Maldives to their “Green List” allowing travellers from the country to enter without having to go through the mandatory quarantine measures.

The latest update to the Green List from Abu Dhabi Emergency and Disaster Committee showed that they have added Bahrain, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Maldives to the quarantine free list.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan, Denmark, France, Iceland, Jordan, Netherlands, Norway, Republic of Ireland and Sweden were removed due to severe Covid-19 situation, bringing the total quarantine free travel destinations from Abu Dhabi to 31.

Abu Dhabi Emergency and Disaster Committee advised all passengers to present a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken 48-72 hours prior to departure and undergo a second test upon arrival in Abu Dhabi.

Travellers arriving from the green listed countries are mandated to self-isolate until their result is returned, however, can be free of quarantine if their Covid-19 test results return negative.

Passengers arriving in Abu Dhabi from all other destinations are required to self-isolate for 10 days, taking a Covid test on day 8 while vaccinated travellers can isolate for five days with a Covid test on day 4.
