PPM launches national campaign “Maldivians in Defense of Freedom”

Male’, Maldives – Opposition Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) initiates a national campaign in the name of “Maldivians in Defense of Freedom.”

The national campaign was initiated last night by the President of Opposition PPM/PNC coalition, Abdul Raheem Abdullah (Adhurey) at a ceremony held at the PPM Office.

Speaking at the ceremony, Adhurey stated that the national campaign was initiated with the vision and advice of currently jailed former President of Maldives, Yameen Abdul Gayyoom and stated that this campaign would face lots of difficulties.

PPM’s most important motto is the country. So, PPM will always prioritize the country. President Yameen said that this is the time for the party to stop doing everything else and focus on saving the country.

Noting that Maldives is in a very delicate situation in all fields and that it has worsened to the extent that citizens should be concerned, Adhurey stated that it is time for PPM/PNC coalition to step out on saving the country.

Adhurey informed that under the newly initiated national campaign, the party members will be traveling to the islands in Maldives to meet the citizens.
