Sri Lanka – SriLankan Airlines, today, announced that the airline has resumed flights from Colombo, Sri Lanka to Gan, Addu City, Maldives after a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Airline stated that tickets are available at the SriLankan Airlines website and through travel agents or to contact 1979 for further information. The airline says that flights are scheduled on a temporary basis depending on the situation.
The first SriLankan flight from Colombo arrived in Addu City earlier today with 174 foreign passengers. The next flight is scheduled for 3 September 2021.
SriLankan began scheduled flights to Gan on 1 December 2016, as the only international airline to fly to Gan International Airport with four flights per week. The flights came to a halt with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, discussions are in place to resume flights to Addu City and neighbouring Huvadhu Atoll.
