Ooredoo Maldives signs on as title sponsor for SAFF Championship 2021

Malé, Maldives – Ooredoo Maldives on Monday announced that the telco has signed on as the Title Sponsor of the SAFF Championship 2021.

With this, the championship will be titled “Ooredoo SAFF Championship 2021”.

The agreement was signed by Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz on behalf of Ooredoo Maldives and Bassam Jaleel from the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) at a ceremony held at the national stadium.

Speaking at the event, Niyaz said that Ooredoo is proud to be the title sponsor of the championship as football is beloved by Maldivians.

[Ooredoo] is excited to be part of the national pride and will do everything possible to make the [SAFF Championship] colourful and jubilant.

Ooredoo SAFF Championship 2021 will take place from October 1 to October 16, 2021. This is the first time in history that the SAFF Championship is fully hosted in the Maldives without partnering with other countries.
