Malé, Maldives – The President of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (PGA), His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has just landed in Velana International Airport.
The UN PGA Shahid’s official visit to the Maldives is scheduled from 6-9 October 2021. PGA Shahid’s visit to the Maldives is by invitation from His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
President Solih and PGA Shahid will engage in official talks during this visit.
President Solih invited PGA Shahid to visit the Maldives in his official capacity as the President of the UNGA during the 76th Session of the UNGA, in New York last month.
Abdulla Shahid assumed office as the 76th UNGA President on 15 September 2021.
