UK accepts Maldives vaccine certification for quarantine free travel

Malé, Maldives – The United Kingdom has included Maldives vaccine program in the list of recognized countries for quarantine free travel to the UK.

Starting 11 October 2021, travellers inoculated in the Maldives with two doses of a UK recognized vaccine, AstraZeneca, Covishield and Pfizer, will not have to quarantine in the UK.

Travellers do not have to undergo a PCR test before travelling to the UK. However, travellers must take a PCR test within 2 days of arrival in the UK and quarantine only for negative results.

he UK removed the Maldives from the travel red list on 22 September 2021. UK also introduced a new simplified system for international travel from tomorrow, 4 October 2021, simplifying travel the UK guidelines by maintaining a red list only and easing measures for the rest of the world.
