COVID-19: Status in Hithadhoo worsens with 95 active cases

Addu City, Maldives – With 12 new cases Hithadhoo district has become the worst hit district in Addu City.

The only other case of the total 13 cases recorded in Addu City was from Maradhoo.

At present, the highest number of active cases are in Hithadhoo with 95 cases, followed by Hithadhoo with 76 active Covid-19 cases, Maradhoofeydhoo has 31 cases, while Maradhoo has 25 cases. Meedhoo holds steady with 2 cases while there are no active cases in Gan and Hulhudhoo.

The statistics released by AEH shows that with the additional cases, the total number of active cases in Addu City is now 229. Three are hospitalized in Addu City.

Maldives recorded 83 cases as of Sunday, with 23 from Malé and 54 from the islands. The rest of the cases are from inhabited islands, with 6 from operational resorts.

Maldives has recorded a total number of 85,548 Covid-19 cases, of which 1,237 are currently active. To date, 84,064 patients have made full recoveries. The country has recorded 234 Covid-19 related fatalities.
