COVID-19: 246 active cases present in Addu City

Addu City, Maldives – Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) reports that there are 246 active cases in Addu City to date.

As of Sunday, 14 Covid-19 patients made full recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries from the southernmost city to 1523.

While there are 246 active cases, two are being treated in the Addu Covid-19 facility. Four Covid-19 related fatalities were recorded in the city.

Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) informed that Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Maradhoofeydhoo and Feydhoo have been under monitoring status for the longest period of time to date in the Maldives.

The joint islands of Addu City were placed under monitoring on 28 August 2021. Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo in Addu City place under monitoring on 4 September 2021.
