Vice President Faisal Naseem has concluded his four-day trip to Fuvahmulah City and Addu City.
He visited Fuvahmulah City first and then visited Addu City before concluding his trip and returning to Malé City tonight.
During this trip, the Vice President met with the members of the city councils of both cities and discussed their interests and needs. He held discussions with several key stakeholders from both cities. He also toured important landmarks and checked on the progress of government development projects in the cities.
Vice President Faisal Naseem participated in several important events during this trip, such as the ceremony to inaugurate the construction of Masjid Al-Hudha in Fuvahmulah City and the Service Excellence Programme at Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) in Addu City.
The Vice President commended healthcare workers and those working in the health sector for their relentless effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.
He urged participants to make the best use of the training and lessons learned to improve their work. He also stressed the importance of cohesiveness in the work environment and working as a team.
The Service Excellence Programme is a series of programmes initiated by the President’s Office and the Civil Service Training Institute to improve the quality of service. The programme is conducted for AEH employees from 29 – 31 October, 2021.
Further, he officially inaugurated the Hifz Committee in each city.The Vice President was joined on this trip by a delegation of senior government officials.
