Addu City, Maldives – Addu Emergency Operations Center (Addu EOC) reveals that by Saturday, Addu City confirmed a total of 27 new Covid-19 cases, increasing the total active cases to 334.
The statistics released by Addu EOC shows that with the additional 27 cases confirmed yesterday, the total number of confirmed cases in Addu City has risen to 2,225 with 9 fatalities.
At present, the most active cases are in Hithadhoo with 155 cases, followed by Maradhoo with 82 active Covid-19 cases and Feydhoo with 55 cases, while Maradhoofeydhoo has 8 cases. Addu EOC informs that there are 26 active cases in Meedhoo and 7 active cases in Hulhudhoo.
Apart from this, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) also revealed the addition of 119 Covid-19 cases in the Maldives. It was detailed that out of the 119 cases, 18 were from the Malé area, while 96 cases were recorded from inhabited islands. The figures also revealed that 5 new cases were found from operational resorts, adding up to 2,075 active cases in the country.
With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Maldives has reached 88,635 out of which 86,302 patients have made full recoveries, as of November 6, 2021.
Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) has informed that Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Maradhoofeydhoo and Feydhoo of Addu City have been under monitoring status for the longest period of time to date in the Maldives.
The joint islands of Addu City were placed under monitoring on 28 August 2021. Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo in Addu City were placed under monitoring on 4 September 2021.
