Malé, Maldives – The President of opposition party People’s National Congress (PNC) Abdul Raheem Abdulla has stated that the “India Out” campaign is a citizen lead campaign, which will continue regardless of the President’s anger.

The acting opposition leader during the absence of former President Yameen Abdul Gayyoom stated that it is not surprising that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih considers Maldivians to be guilty.

Further, the opposition leader President Yameen is planning to travel to islands to expand the “India Out” campaign. A petition is also being signed calling for the Indian government to remove all military from the Maldivian soil.

Earlier this month Chairperson of Parliament’s Committee on National Security Service (241 Committee) MP Mohamed Aslam India Out campaign is a danger to Maldivians. He added that the campaign is politically motivated, based on unfounded allegations.
