Singapore launches vaccinated travel lane for Maldivian travellers

Malé, Maldives – The governments of Maldives and Singapore have launched a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL)between the two countries.

The vaccinated travel lane was implemented following quadrilateral discussions between the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health of the Maldives and Ministry of Transport of Singapore.

Under this travel bubble effective 16 December 2021, all fully vaccinated Maldivians with a valid Covid-19 digital vaccine certificate can travel on specified vaccinated travel lane flights granted they have a negative PCR test result.

Applications for travel to Singapore are open from 9 Dec 2021. Additionally, accompanied unvaccinated children aged 12 and below are also allowed to use the VTL.
