BREAKING: Covid-19 booster program for general public commences Saturday

Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced booster doses for the general public starting 15 January 2021, Saturday.

Booster doses are now available for all fully vaccinated individuals over the age of 18 who completed both doses 6 months prior.

For greater Malé area, eligible individuals are to register through the portal. Individuals as advised to,

  • Bring an identifying document such as the national ID
  • Must not by symptomatic
  • Wear loose clothing with easy access to shoulders
  • Have a full stomach
  • Bring a bottle of water
  • Limit to the vaccine recipient only when going for vaccination.

The Health Ministry has previously stated that the island nation has acquired enough Pfizer doses for the booster program.
