ICC organizes Republic Day blood donation camp

Malé, Maldives – Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) of the High Commission of India in Maldives organized a blood donation camp to mark the the occasion of the Republic Day of India 2022 on Saturday.

The blood donation camp was held on 22nd January 2022 from 9.30am to 2pm as part of India@75 celebration at the Maldivian Blood Services.

The camp was inaugurated by Health Minister of Maldives Ahmed Naseem and High Commissioner of India at Maldives Munu Mahawar.

Minister Naseem wished his success to the camp and conveyed his continued support for such noble initiatives in future too.

Dr Syed Tanveer Nasreen, Director, Indian Cultural Centre and Aminath Shathfa Shafeen, Senior Executive Director, Ministry of Health, donated blood on the occasion.

ICC as part of its activities and with support of its Indian Community volunteers, Maldivian Students and other Maldivian stakeholders do organise various social activities include Beach Cleaning, Blood donation camps, health checkup camps, COVID sensitization programmes, various social awareness camps and rallies. ICC organised 03 blood donation camps in the Maldives in 2021.
