Malé, Maldives – A team of Maldives Police Service (MPS) is scheduled to depart to Sri Lanka today in connection to the Maldivian death in Sri Lanka.
The Police state that they will explore avenues to assist the deceased’s family. Police did not detail further in which capacity the team will be acting in Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan authorities conducted a postmortem on Afham’s body on Sunday.
The victim with stab wounds was identified as a Maldivian national.

Afham was found on Saturday with major bleeding at Wellawatte beach 4km from his place of residence Dehiwala.
