Malé, Maldives – Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid confirmed on Thursday that all Maldivians remaining in Ukraine have been evacuated out of the country.
Minister Shahid said that the 9 remaining Maldivians in Ukraine (5 students and a family of 3 in Kharkiv, plus 1 student in Dnipro) arrived safely in Hungary and will be on their way home to Maldives soon.

Foreign Minister Shahid thanked the Foreign Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó for the support and arrangements at Hungarian consulate in Ungvar Uzhhorod and at the Hungarian border.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also offered financial assistance to students in Russia and Belarus wishing to return to the Maldives. There are currently 88 Maldivians in Russia and 137 in various cities of Belarus.
