Malé, Maldives – President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have concluded their unofficial visit to Singapore and have returned to the Maldives on Sunday.
President Solih, on 23rd February, announced that he was traveling to Singapore for thyroid treatment upon his doctor’s advice. Later on the 25th, President Solih then announced that he was scheduled to undergo thyroid surgery on the same day, which saw Vice President Faisal Naseem take oath as president for three hours and 30 minutes.
President Solih was released from hospital on 1st March and is reportedly recovering well.
