MPL introduces 7 day trauma leave policy

Malé, Maldives – Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has introduced a dedicated 7 day trauma leave policy for its employees.

According to the company, with the new leave policy announced today, its employees will be entitled to an all salary and allowances paid 7 day leave from work on account of miscarriage, death of parents, children or spouse, or temporary relocation to a government shelter due to a fire incident.

This leave will be in addition to all the leaves granted and made mandatory under the Employment Act of Maldives.

According to MPL, the policy has been effective starting from 8th March, 2022.
