Malé, Maldives – The Maldives Police on Wednesday night arrested an Indian national for drug smuggling via sea.
The Indian male (37) was investigated twice previously by the Maldivian Police for drug-related crimes.
Last night’s drug bust was a joint operation based on information provided by the police intelligence. The suspect was arrested with 12 Kilos of drugs.
Police have not released any further information on the case as it is an ongoing operation.
