Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) of Maldives has urged the public to get the Covid-19 booster dose prior to the fast approaching month of Ramadan.
In a tweet sent out to the public, the agency encouraged all eligible individuals to get the booster shot prior to Ramadan, and also detailed the timings of vaccination for those who are ineligible prior to Ramadan or wish to get their shot during the holy month.
The twitpic attached to the tweet read that Ramadan timings for vaccination in the Malé region would be at Dharumavantha Hospital and Hulhumalé Hospital from 21:00 to 23:00.
HPA also reminded pilgrims planning to perform Umrah during Ramadan to get their boosters two weeks prior to their date of departure.
With the improving situation of Covid-19 in the Maldives, owing to high vaccination rates and mandate compliance, the country’s two year long medical state of emergency and mask mandate has now been lifted.
