Addu City, Maldives – A second incident of violent robbery has occurred in Addu City, Hithadhoo district on Sunday night.
This is the second such incident in two months in the same district.
At 21:00 hours last night, a migrant worker employed at a local cornershop was attacked with a sharp object with the intention to rob while making a delivery on bicycle.
The thieves stole the victim’s mobile phone and cash. The victim survived with minor injuries.
A similar incident occured when criminals on a motorcycle attempted snatch theft last month.
