Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the ‘Judicial Year 2022’ on Thursday night. The ceremony was held at the Islamic Centre in Malé.
One of the most important objectives of the inauguration ceremony of the Judicial Year is said to be setting new goals for the upcoming year, as well as reflecting on the achievements of the judiciary over the past year. A video regarding the judiciary’s activities in 2021 and the targets set for the year 2022 was also presented at the ceremony.
The Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed launched three software applications developed to automate the judicial processes, while the President of the Judicial Services Commission (JSC), Uza Hisaan Hussain launched the new website for the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA). The Chief Justice, Uz Ahmed Muthasim Adnan had also delivered the State of Judiciary address at the ceremony.
