Addu City, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed on a four-day trip to Addu and Fuvahmulah City today.
During this trip, the President is scheduled to hold discussions with the Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) of each City. He will also be meeting residents of the two cities.
President Solih and the First Lady are scheduled to visit and tour important landmarks and developmental sites initiated by the government and check the progress of these projects during their visit. Additionally, the President and First Lady are set to inaugurate some of the infrastructural developmental projects in each city. President Solih will also officially inaugurate the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement developed in Addu City.
President Solih and First Lady Fazna will be accompanied by a delegation of cabinet ministers and senior officials from the government.
The objective of these trips to the cities is to track the progress of the development projects, listen to people’s concerns, and incorporate their wishes into the development plans as per the President’s pledges.
