Maldivian to continue scheduled flights to Sri Lanka starting Eid

Malé, Maldives – National Airline Maldivian has halted flights to Ratmalana International Airport, Sri Lanka, in mere 96 hours after launching operations due to lack of demand.

While Sri Lankan media reported that Maldivian has stopped operations to Sri Lanka completely, the airline denied this and stated that the first flight on Sunday was to commemorate the flight route opening and scheduled flights will resume starting Eid.

Scheduled flights are to resume starting May 2 with three flights weekly on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Promotional return ticket prices start at MVR 3,312 for economy and MVR 3,988 for economy flex.
