Addu City, Maldives – SriLankan Airline on Wednesday announced that the airline will be increasing scheduled flights to Addu City to three times weekly starting May 2022.
Flights are scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Speaking to local news “Addulive” the head of Ace Aviation, the SriLankan agent in the Maldives, stated that there will also be increased connections to travellers choosing SriLankan.
Mohamed Firaq, head of Ace Aviation, stated that they are prioritizing the Indian market as a source market for tourists inbound to the South region.
Firaq said that the company chooses to promote southern tourism even by using its own resources. The company is in talks with Addu tourist resorts, South Palm and Canareef to prepare for the surge in tourist arrival with the increase in flights.
