Malé, Maldives – Aishath Himna Hassan of Addu City has renewed her national record for 400 meter running in women’s category.
The new record was made during the national team’s time trial by running the distance in 57.56 seconds, which is 1.34 seconds faster than the previous national record of 58.90 made at the World Atheltics Championship’s under 20 category held in Hong Kong – a record also held by Himna.
Himna, over the years, has been sprinting up the stairs of success in both national and international arenas, with multiple wins under her belt. So far, she holds the 2018, 2019 and 2022 record for 400m running in women’s category, and junior women’s category as well as the 400 meter national youth record.
