Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Friday departed on a two-day visit to Funadhoo Island in the North Miladhunmadulu Atoll and Holhudhoo Island in the South Miladhunmadulu Atoll.
In Fonadhoo, President Solih is scheduled to attend celebrations held to mark the golden jubilee of Funadhoo School and then visit Holhudhoo to join the diamond jubilee festivities of Meyna School during the visit.
The President will also hold meetings with the Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) members of both islands to discuss developmental plans and pertinent issues. President Solih is also expected to unveil a monument commemorating the 75th anniversary of Meyna School on Holhudhoo Island.
A high-level delegation from the government is accompanying the President on this trip.
