Nasheed departs to India on unofficial trip

Malé, Maldives – Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed has departed to India on an unofficial trip today.

It has been reported that according to Communications Director of the Parliament Hassan Ziyau, the Parliament is not aware of the details of the trip as it has been marked unofficial. However, the Parliament did officially announce Nasheed’s departure to India.

Prior to this, Nasheed also traveled to India earlier this year in April, to participate in the Raisina Dialogue held in New Delhi from 25 April to 27 April 2022 under the theme, “Terra Nova: Impassioned, Impatient, and Imperilled”.
