Hulhumalé, Maldives – Ahmed Athif, former Deputy Managing Director has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
Athif’s appointment to the position of MD comes following the retirement of Suhail Ahmed after 21 years at the company.
Ahmed Athif was appointed initially as the Deputy Managing Director of HDC on March 6, 2019.
He holds a bachelor’s degree (honors) in Accounting from University of Hertfordshire in Malaysia. With over 10 years of experience in his field, Athif has worked in the private sector, as well as the public sector including Bank of Maldives and Maldives Monetary Authority.
