October 3rd declared as government holiday

Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared 3 October, 2022 as a government holiday.

The decision was announced today, in accordance with a directive issued by the President’s Office on 14th August, 2022, numbered 2022/7.

The decision was made after cabinet deliberations on the matter to commemorate the first National Tourism Day, which coincides with the 50th anniversary since tourism commenced in the Maldives.
