Malé, Maldives – President’s Office has announced that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be making a 4 day official trip to Bahrain on the invitation of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Mohamed Miuvan told in a tweet posted earlier today that the president will be making the trip from 5 – 8 October.
Although details of the trip was not provided by President’s Office, local media reports that both leaders are set to discuss strengthening bilateral relations of the two countries.
This is the first time President Solih is visiting Bahrain since he took office. Maldives and Bahrain established diplomatic ties on March 24, 1980.
