Malé, Maldives – Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has been discharged from the hospital after being admitted to the hospital for low blood pressure.
The 85-year-old tweeted yesterday evening that he had undergone some tests after being admitted to the hospital.
He was admitted to the hospital with low blood pressure but said he was in good condition.
After undergoing tests at the hospital, he was discharged home without any problems, he tweeted last night.
President Maumoon tweeted thanks to all those who prayed for his good health. He also thanked the nurses and doctors for their services.
Gayyoom is famously known for his presidency in the Maldives for a total of six terms through 1979 to 2008.
