Malé, Maldives – Former Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has rebranded, and unveiled the corporation’s new identity as Urbanco.
The rebranding was announced during a special ceremony held to mark the 22nd anniversary of the corporation.
Urbanco said that the purpose of the rebranding is to improve and oversee the services provided to the public by the corporation and to truly embody the title of being the largest urban development company in the country through its services.
This includes the launch of a new Urbanco mobile application that allows users to raise issues, file complains and check on the activities carried out by the company.
The rebrand also comes with efforts to expand its scope beyond Hulhumalé, as it takes on projects such as Kudagiri and work in Thilafushi and Gulhifalhu, and eventually the entire country.
