Feydhoo house catches on fire

Addu City, Maldives – An apartment in Feydhoo, Addu City caught on fire this Sunday night, burning it beyond use.

The fire was extinguished by the efforts of the fire and rescue officers of Hithadhoo Fire Station. According to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the impacted apartment was built within the premises of Alividhaage building.

While no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire, all the belongings of residents in that apartment were destroyed. This includes appliances, furniture, and cash, reports say.

Addu City Mayor Ali Nizar, in a Facebook post, announced last night that Addu City Council, along with other relevant authorities are working on providing necessary assistance to the residents of the apartment.
