Rozaina Adam, MP for Addu Meedhoo and her husband Mohamed Nashiz, MP for Kinbidhoo have received land under the government’s Binveriya Housing Scheme.
The couple got the land after their application made including one of their children, met the requirements and scored 71.59 marks according to the preliminary list of people who will receive land plots published by the government.
Rozaina and Nashiz belong to wealthy families who own land in the capital city of Malé and also run various large businesses. The couple also have their own separate businesses.
Rozaina’s mother also has a house in Feydhoo, Addu City which is rented to run a restaurant. A company owned by Rozaina is also building a private clinic in Hulhumalé.
Rozaina and Nashiz are members of the ruling MDP. Nashiz is the campaign manager of President Solih in the MDP presidential campaign.
