President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed participated in the flag ceremony at Republic Square on Wednesday, marking the 58th anniversary of Maldives’ independence.
The event began at 6 a.m. and was graced by the presence of Cabinet Ministers, esteemed guests, and senior officials from various government offices and institutions.
Upon their arrival at the Republic Square, the President and First Lady received a welcome from the Minister of Defense, Uza Mariya Ahmed Didi, and the Minister of Home Affairs, Sheikh Imran Abdulla. As part of the ceremony, a special prayer was recited by Sheikh Azim Khalid.
