Real and Barca dominate again

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona won their matches in the league to remain at the top. Both teams have now gained 25 points from 12 matches but Barca stays on top with the two goal advantage they have on Real.

Messi scored a hat-trick against bottom three team, Celta Vigo where Barca thrashed them 5-1. It was Messi who opened the scoreline with his 23rd minute penalty. Celta equalized on the 42nd minute but Messi scored another just before the half time with a sublime free kick.

Messi completed his hat-trick in the opening three minutes of the second half with yet another free kick. Celta didn’t manage to shoot one past Marc Andre Ter Stergen who stood firm on Barca’s goal in this half. However, Sergio Busquets scored Barca’s fourth of the night on the 85th minute.

Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid won the match against Eibar, 4 goals to nil. Karim Benzema scored a brace in the first half along with Sergio Ramos. Real was awarded two penalties on this half, first one scored by captain Ramos whereas the second one was taken by Benzema.

Real scored their final goal on the 61st minute. Eibar managed to shoot only one shot on target the whole game. However they made 14 attempts, 9 off target and 4 blocked.

Both Spanish football giants started the season slow, but have managed to pull up and set their foot. It is early to predict which team will be crowned champions but Real and Barca, both has upped their games. Real Soceidad stays on the third place, while Atletico Madrid stays on fourth with their string of poor performances.
