Man who jumped into the sea from a dinghy has been found dead.
The person has been identified as Maldivian national, Mohamed Anees, 33.
MNDF revealed that a missing person was reported after a man jumped from a dinghy travelling from Male’ to Thilafushi with 10 passengers on board, at around 15:16.
By the effort of coast guard divers, Anees’ body was recovered at approximately 16:10, at 44 metres deep. His body has been taken to ADK hospital.
While police are still investigating the incident, it has been reported that Anees jumped from the dinghy for fun.
