All schools in the Maldives have presented the report cards to the students and have marked Thursday as the end of the academic year 2019.
While students are likely to be able to enjoy a total of 51 days of holiday before schools reopen, teachers are to report back to school on the 7th of December.
According to the academic calendar published by the Ministry of Education for the year 2020, students would be studying 90 days in the first term and 111 in the second term, totaling to 201 days of education.
