A man has been lost at see following an accident between the dinghy he was on and a speed boat.
The accident took place around 19:07 on Thursday evening near B. Dhonfanu. While three three of the four men traveling on the dinghy were rescued and taken on to the speed boat that collided with them, 41 year old Nasruallah Abdullah is still missing, and so is the dinghy that sunk after the accident.
As rescue efforts continue, Maldives National Defense Force Coast Guard revealed that the search operation includes air, surface and below surface searches, including helicopter and diving robots.
MNDF described the main challenge as not being able to identify the exact location of the accident
