Statistics of the Civil Court of Maldives has revealed that 62% of all cases lodged to the court last year has been resolved during the dispute resolution stage, out of trial.
The data showed that a total of 4700 cases were lodged to the court, out of which 3081 were submitted to dispute resolution. 2253 of those cases were resolved out of trial.
The numbers also reflected that 6481 cases were to be closed in the year 2019, which included 1781 cases pending from 2018. The court has since closed 4،907, leaving 6 cases pending, all a year old.
